Once the GATE results are announced, the second part of the hustle starts.

You have various choices from M.Tech to PSU’s to contempleting giving the exam again.

Depending on your GATE marks, you have to take a conscience decision on what you are going to do.

A GATE score of above 800 or GATE rank below 1000 merits you for a PSU interview in either one or many PSU’s.

PSU’s are especially the cream which many Mechanical engineers want.

So to taste this cream, Mechanical engineers must score above 800 GATE score.

Notifications of PSU’s are generally released after GATE exam.

To stay up to date with the latest notifications, follow Government job notifications on facebook.

Secondly, if you wish to do M.Tech from IIT, then a score similarly to around 800 score is required.

There are many IITs which one can look for getting admission.

Other options for M.Tech is NITs and state government colleges.

NITs are very lucrative for students who have not scored that much in GATE to get admission in IIT.

And for someone who is in the band of not good not bad marks, state government colleges are the best bet for M.Tech.
