NPCIL Recruitment 2021 –
NPCIL Recruitment notification for the year 2021 has been released. The notification details the outline for the recruitment process along with the eligibility criteria and other fulfillment that the candidate must fulfill.
All details of the eligibility along with the various important factors that a candidate must comply is given in this post. We will look at the vacancy, type of post, and the candidates eligible also.

NPCIL Age Limit –
- Nurse :- 18 to 30 years.
- Stipendiary Trainee/ Scientific Assistant/ Operator/ Maintainer :- 18 to 25 years.
- Pharmacist :- 18 to 25 years.
- Operation Theatre Assistant :- 18 to 25 years.
- Assistant Grade :- 21 to 28 years.
- Steno Grade :- 21 to 28 years.
NPCIL Qualification –
- Nurse :- 12th Standard & Diploma in Nursing & Mid-wifery (3 years course) & B.Sc.(Nursing).
- Stipendiary Trainee/ Scientific Assistant/ Operator/ Maintainer :- Diploma with not less than 60% marks in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engineering recognized by the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development. The diploma in Engineering should be 03 years duration after SSC/HSC. & Operator HSC (10+2) or ISC (with Science subjects) with not less than 50% marks in Science and Mathematics individually.
- Pharmacist :- H.S.C. (10+2) + 2 years Diploma in Pharmacy + 3 months Training in Pharmacy + Registration as a Pharmacist with Central or State Pharmacy Council.
- Operation Theatre Assistant :- H.S.C. (10+2) in Science with minimum 60% marks + One year Certificate Course of Operation Theatre Assistant.
- Assistant Grade :- Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised University / Institution.
- Steno Grade :- Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised University / Institution.

NPCIL Selection Process –
Written Examination / Personal Interview.
- Nurse/ Operation Theatre Assistant/ Pharmacist./ Stipendiary Trainee / Operator & Maintainer –
The Written Examination will be in two stages :-
Stage 1 :- Preliminary Test (1 Hour Duration).
Stage 2 :- Advanced Test (2 Hours Duration).
Examination will comprise of 50 multiple choice questions (Choice of four answers) of 01 (one) hour duration in the following proportion :-

- General Category (UR)/EWS – 40% marks.
- SC/ST/OBC/PWBD – 30% marks (applicable if vacancy exists in relevant reserved category).
Accordingly, the General Candidates/EWS < 40% marks and the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWBD with < 30% marks will be screened out for Stage-2.
Stage 2 – Advanced Test
- All candidates screened in Stage-1 to undertake an advanced test in their respective trade applicable for the post.
- The Test will be of 02 (two) hours duration.
- The level of questions will be related to their qualifying academic / professional / technical qualification.
- The Test will comprise 50 Multiple choice questions (Choice of four answers) with 03 (Three) marks to be awarded for each correct answer and 01 (one) mark to be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- General Category (UR)/EWS – 30% marks.
- SC/ST/OBC/PWBD – 20% marks (applicable if vacancy exist in relevant reserved category).
- Stipendiary Trainee/ Scientific Assistant –
The written examination will be OMR based or Computer Based Test(CBT).
Examination will comprise 120 multiple choice questions (Choice of four answers) of 02 (Two) hour duration in the
following proportion :-

- Accordingly, the General Candidates/EWS <40% marks and the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWBD with <30% marks will be screened out for Personal Interview.
- The number of candidates shortlisted for Personal Interview would depend upon the number of candidates qualifying for Personal Interview but will not exceed 5 times the number of vacancies notified in all reserved and unreserved categories for each post.
- Assistant Grade-1 / Steno Grade –
Written exam / Skill test.
The written examination will be OMR based or Computer Based Test(CBT).
Stage 1 – Preliminary Test (1 Hour Duration)
Stage 2 – Advanced Test (2 Hours Duration).

The test will comprise 50 Multiple choice questions (Choice of four answers) from the following syllabus :-

Stage 3 – Skill Test
The number of candidates shortlisted for Skill Test would depend upon the number of candidates qualifying for Stage-2 but will not exceed 5 times the number of vacancies for each post. However, in case of tie the number of candidates to be shortlisted for Skill Test may exceed the limit of 5 times.
