This blog is for candidates who have interest in SSC CHSL. SSC CHSL is a Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level exam which is mainly for candidates who has passed the 12th standard or above.
SSC CHSL is conducting a competitive exam for recruiting for the posts of Lower Divisional Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant and Data Entry Operators for various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India.
Dates for submission of online applications: 03-12-2019 to 10-01-2020
Last date for receipt of application: 10-01-2020 (23:59)
Last date for making online fee payment: 12-01-2020 (23:59)
Last date for generation of offline Challan: 12-01-2020 (23:59)
Last date for payment through Challan (during working hours of Bank): 14-01-2020
Date of Computer Based Examination (Tier-I): 16-03-2020 to 27-03-2020
Date of Tier-II Examination (Descriptive Paper): 28-06-2020
Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Pay Level-2 (Rs.
Postal Assistant (PA)/ Sorting Assistant (SA): Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100).
Data Entry Operator (DEO): Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100)
Data Entry Operator, Grade “A‟: Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100).
18 – 27 years on 01/01/2020 with age relaxation as per the respective categories mentioned in notification.
For LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO (except DEOs in C&AG): The candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
For Data Entry Operator (DEO Grade ‘A’) in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.
All candidates who are declared qualified by the Commission for Document Verification will be required to produce the relevant Certificates such as Mark sheets, Provisional Certificates etc. for completion of Intermediate/ Higher Secondary/ 10+2/ Senior Secondary in original as proof of having acquired the minimum educational qualification on or before 01-01-2020, failing which the candidature of such candidates will be cancelled by the Commission.
Rs. 100/- with no fee for Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM).
Scheme of exam:-
Tier 1 – Computer based exam (Objective exam), Tier 2 – Descriptive exam (1 paper of 100 marks), Tier 3 – Typing skill.
The syllabus for the exam is given in detail from page 13 onwards in the notification.
Annexure XVI is related to medical and physical fitness and is mentioned on from page 45 onwards. Strict rules have been given for various physical and medical cases and specific cases have been described to ensure that students understand which cases will be accepted and which ones wont be accepted. It is advised the students go through this section if the candidate is not physically or medically fit in any way.
