Elon Musk recently announced that TESLA was working on ‘TESLA BOT‘, a Humanoid which will be launched sometime next year. The ‘TESLA BOT’ was made which was going to replace repetitive, dangerous tasks. Tesla Bot is likely to be launched next year in 2022.

So what is a TESLA BOT? A Tesla Bot is a humanoid designed to perform repetitive, boring, or dangerous tasks. Elon said the main goal of the robot is to replace the boring, repetitive, or dangerous tasks which humans are not willing to do.
So what will the BOT look like and how will it be made? Details are to follow:
Details of the Tesla Bot
The Tesla Bot is going to be around 5’8″ and is going to weigh 125 lbs. Like Elon said in the video, that the Bot is going to be friendly and there is no need to fear for humans. The Robot will be equipped with 40 electromagnetic actuators and will be equipped with a screen to display some information.
It is going to have human-level hands and is going to use forced feedback for balance and agility to stand on two feet.
It is being built because Tesla wants to eliminate humans doing Dangerous, Repetitive, and boring tasks.
As Elon joked, “For this robot, we’re trying to be as literal as possible: Can it do boring, dangerous, repetitive jobs that people don’t want to do. You know, once you have it do that, maybe it can do other things too…I mean, maybe it could be your buddy, too. I’m sure people will think of some very creative uses.”
Elon further said, since the parts were there, they just decided to make it, as someone else might eventually do it so why not them?.
The Bot is going to use most of the technology that the company has already developed. It is going to use the Dojo supercomputer. Dojo supercomputer uses an in-house chip built along with computer architecture for Optimized Neural Net Training.
The Tesla bot is going to have multi-cam video neural networks. Powered by Dojo Supercomputer, it will be able to process data faster and more accurately thereby working efficiently.
Tesla is also in the process of recruiting people for this new project that they are working on. The official page of the company reads, “Develop the next generation of automation, including a general purpose, bi-pedal, humanoid robot capable of performing tasks that are unsafe, repetitive or boring. We’re seeking mechanical, electrical, controls and software engineers to help us leverage our AI expertise beyond our vehicle fleet.”
